PRESENT:
        Gaile Rollins
        Louise Dix
        ThomJon Borges
        Terry - out of town
        Jon - out of town
        Carl - ill

Louise reported on her meeting with the town administrator concerning  the new town handyman. He is going to be doing a daily walk through the building with Gaile so she can point out any actual or potential problems that are occurring. Hopefully this will increase the lines of communication.

The minutes from the last meeting were approved and will be sent to the town clerk.

On May 5th, the Historical Society will be sponsoring an “antiques roadshow” with appraiser Paul Royka. It will run from 10 - 2. There will be a cost.

Gaile reported that according to Phil, there are leaks around the furnace which should be repaired.

Gaile also reported that the walking path in the back of the building is in need of work. She has reported the problem to the recreation department.

The Historical Society still needs to update their insurance policy.

At the moment, income is exceeding expenses because of the mild weather.

The window coverings needs to be taken down and stored for the summer months the job was started but isn’t finished at this time.

ThomJon mentioned the railings and ramp for the handicap access to the building should be restained and finished with spar varnish treated with grit so the ramp isn’t slippery. Finished that way would also prevent people from sliding when the ramp was damp or wet.

The next meeting will be May 17th.
